| In Asian cultures, one
of the torii significances is a gateway to a higher learning.
It’s built at the entrances to temples and schools. The
torii in our patch represents our wiliness to always dedicate
ourselves to a higher learning of Isshin Ryu Discipline. The vertical
punching fist under the torii represents the uniqueness in the
art of Isshin Ryu Karate.
Over the torri it reads "Sensei Hovey's
Dojo".
The patch will be worn on the right sleeve of the gi,
two fingers' width below the shoulder seam, centered over the
crease of the sleeve.
