Isshinryu Basic Exercises

In following of traditional Isshinryu, instead of Pinan (Beginner) kata, Soke Tatsuo Shimabuku instituted a set of basic exercises that would reinforce most of the techniques needed to successfully work within the Isshinryu style of karate. These techniques are broken down into Upper Body Techniques (Te-Waza) and Lower Body Techniques (Geri-Waza).
